  • Laksa leaves (Vietnamese coriander)
  • Lime wedges

Preparation Method

Our Singapore Laksa is prepared through these careful steps:

  1. Our authentic laksa paste is made from scratch using traditional methods
  2. The paste is sautéed until fragrant to release the essential oils and flavors
  3. Chicken stock is added and brought to a simmer
  4. Coconut milk is stirred in to create the signature rich and creamy broth
  5. The broth is seasoned with fish sauce and palm sugar for a perfect balance
  6. Rice vermicelli and yellow noodles are blanched separately
  7. Fresh prawns are briefly poached to maintain their succulence
  8. Fish cake is sliced and lightly heated
  9. Bean sprouts are blanched to maintain their crunch
  10. To serve, noodles are placed in a bowl and topped with prawns, fish cake, bean sprouts, tofu puffs, and halved hard-boiled egg
  11. The hot broth is ladled over the ingredients
  12. The dish is garnished with laksa leaves and served with lime wedges and sambal on the side

This laksa is incredible! The broth has so many layers of flavor, and the balance between spicy, creamy, and savory is perfect. The prawns were large and fresh, and I loved the addition of the sambal on the side.

As someone who grew up eating laksa in Singapore, I can confirm this is very authentic. The broth is rich with just the right amount of coconut milk, and the laksa paste is clearly homemade. I appreciate that they pack the noodles separately to keep them from getting soggy.
